24/5/15: Stella’s Book Club at Southern Highlands Writers’ Festival
The “One City, One Book” concept is established around the world – including Dublin and San Francisco – where a localised book club is expanded to cover a whole city. The Southern Highlands Writers’ Festival is establishing a similar initiative in the NSW Highlands.
The Highlands region will read and discuss the same book during winter 2015, aiming to continue to build a sense of community and promote literacy. The 2015 Stella Prize Winner, Emily Bitto’s The Strays, is perfect to kick-start this initiative!
Emily Bitto, will be a guest at this year’s SHWF in July. In anticipation, we invite you to join us for our very own Stella’s Book Club and afternoon tea.
Ticket price includes a copy of Bitto’s winning book, The Strays, a glass of champagne or tea and coffee, and some tasty sweet treats.
