2x 1-hr seminars to be held in Term 4, 2022
Online, via Zoom
Are you an Australian high school English teacher? Are you interested in learning more about the potential for Indigenous literatures to teach and address climate change?
As part of a partnership between the Melbourne Graduate School of Education and Stella, we are seeking expressions of interest from high school English teachers to participate in a pilot research project and professional learning opportunity which will investigate the ways in which Indigenous climate fiction can offer an innovative frame for reading and building knowledge in secondary English classrooms.
We are seeking teachers from a range of schools across Australia, at different stages in their career, to participate in 2x 1-hr online seminars to be held in Term 4, 2022.
The seminars will feature conversations with First Nations writers and scholars. The sessions are free, and you will be asked to complete a short survey prior to and after your participation and invited to reflect on your new understandings gained through the seminars.
