Your Feedback
We are still on a high from the overwhelming response we’ve had to the inaugural Stella Prize and to this year’s winner, Carrie Tiffany’s Mateship with Birds. Carrie has subsequently won the New South Wales Premier’s Prize for Fiction and is currently on the shortlist for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards, so many congratulations to her.
The Stella Prize has achieved a great deal in our first year, and we couldn’t have done any of it without our donors and supporters and the extraordinary goodwill we’ve received along the way. We are so grateful to all of you who understood that we wanted to do things a little differently, who cheered on the Prize, and who are supporting Australian women writers by buying their books. Thank you.
Your Feedback
Because the Stella Prize is a new literary prize, and because we want to evolve and be responsive to feedback from our supporters, we’d love to know your thoughts on the Stella Prize in its first year and to get your input: what worked, what you’d like more of, where we can improve. And if you attended the Stella Prize Award Night in April 2013, we’d love your feedback on the event. Would you perhaps be willing to write us an endorsement that we could post on our website? Please email ideas and thoughts about the Stella Prize to: info@thestellaprize.com.au
Donations & Support
Our security and longevity depend on the continuing generosity of our supporters. In order to ensure a successful Stella Prize in 2014 and for many years to come, please consider making a donation to the Stella Prize.
Carrie Tiffany was extremely generous in donating $10,000 of her prize money back to be shared among the five shortlistees. With your help, we hope to reward next year’s shortlisted authors in the same fashion.
If you’re in a book club, perhaps you could make a collective donation and become one of our first Stella Prize Book Club donors. Your book club will be acknowledged on our website.
Donations to the Stella Prize are fully tax-deductible and can be made through a secure online payment service accessible via our website here.
