21/6/15: Stella at Women of the World festival: Glittering Prizes

The idea that achievements should be ranked, and success acknowledged with material rewards or significant honours is ancient and enduring, and prizes abound to acknowledge outstanding performers in every field, from the arts, to sport, scientific discovery, and peace-making. So with all these awards, is there really a need for prizes which are exclusively for women? Do we need the Stella Prize and Telstra Business Women of the Year? Hear from those who run these awards and those who have received them, including Executive Director of the Stella Prize, Aviva Tuffield, writer and literary judge Dr Sandra Phillips, and Skye Anderton of Ruby Olive, winner of the Queensland Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year 2014. This session is chaired by Kate Rowland.
