Northcote High School’s Literary TalkFest is back! Last year’s inaugural TalkFest, on the theme of Writing Women, was a sold out success. In 2016, a panel of Australia’s finest writers discuss the topic: Writing Men. Join 2014 Stella Prize-winning author and NHS parent, Clare Wright, who will speak with 2015 Stella Prize winner, Emily Bitto, Steven Carroll, Ruth Clare and Christos Tsiolkas about how male perspectives and experiences are captured in literature. How is masculinity constructed? Is the male voice normative? Is there such a thing as a female gaze?
